ROK signs new distribution agreements to continue global deployment of mobile entertainment applications and services
London 1st February 2010: ROK Entertainment Group, the mobile technology, services and applications company has today announced it has reached agreement with Avalon Arabia FZE LLC in Dubai for the distribution of ROK’s suite of mobile services across the Middle East and with 70th Precinct Limited, based in Lagos, for similar distribution in Nigeria.
Talaat Captan, the founder of Avalon Arabia, which already holds all media rights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to more than 11,000 hours of feature films, television series, children’s and lifestyle programming, as well as TV movies added “Though this agreement with ROK, we can look forward to expanding upon our past success as we build Avalon Arabia into a major force in the mobile entertainment business across the region.”
Founded in 2004, ROK is headquartered in the UK and with 70 staff worldwide and is best known for its award-winning Mobile TV technology which streams video in high quality, live and on-demand, to mobiles over mass-market 2.5G GPRS as well as over 3G. ROK has amassed a broad portfolio of cutting-edge, revenue generating, mobile entertainment products and services which it licenses to Mobile Operators and handset Manufacturers around the world.
